About

Your story, in every detail

Bárbara Castro

I founded Qativa Events in 2022, driven by my passion for the world of events and, in particular, weddings.

I love creating beautiful environments, but above all, I love creating spaces that reflect each couple's identity. For me, every project begins with listening, getting to know and understanding the tastes, personality and vision of each couple. It is through this connection that I find the inspiration to turn ideas into truly special moments.

I'm a communicative person and genuinely enjoy connecting with people. I value the relationship I build with each couple and being closely involved throughout the entire process, from the first ideas to the moment everything comes to life. I believe that trust, collaboration and attention to detail are what make an event truly meaningful.

My background is in music, and I later completed a Master's degree in Creative Industries Management. Creativity, art and beauty are therefore an important part of the way I approach and develop each event — whether through music, décor, atmosphere or those small details that make all the difference.

At Qativa, I love bringing together creativity, organisation and a personal approach to create events tailored to each person and each story. More than simply creating something beautiful, I strive to create meaningful moments with a sense of identity moments where each couple can truly see themselves and feel that their day was created especially for them.

Susana Lima

My background is in the Arts, with a Master's degree in Music, and it was within this world that I developed much of my professional journey. My experience in the artistic field has taught me to work with precision, sensitivity and attention to detail, qualities that I now bring into the world of events.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in administration and back-office management, developing strong skills in organisation, planning and process management. At Qativa, this is where I naturally find my role: turning ideas into concrete plans, overseeing budgets, managing the logistical side of each event and ensuring that every detail is carefully considered and coordinated so that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

I particularly enjoy the work that happens behind the scenes. Planning ahead, anticipating needs, finding solutions and overseeing every stage of a project are aspects that motivate me and that I believe are essential to creating a seamless event experience.

My experience in the world of music and events has also given me a strong understanding of everything that happens behind each production — from coordinating teams and suppliers to managing the different elements that come together to create an event. I believe that good organisation should always be combined with sensitivity and the ability to truly understand what each couple is looking for.

At Qativa, Bárbara brings a vision strongly connected to creativity and aesthetics, while I contribute a strong organisational, management and logistical perspective. It is precisely in this complementarity that we find our strength: two different perspectives, united by the same goal of creating events with identity, care and meaning for each couple.

My connection to weddings began through music. As a professional violinist, I have been performing at weddings and private events for several years, both in Portugal and internationally. This experience has allowed me to be part of countless celebrations and to understand how much thought, coordination and attention to detail goes into creating a truly memorable wedding day.

In 2026, I moved to Italy and made Lake Garda my home. Since then, I have been developing my work within the Italian wedding industry, performing regularly at weddings and events across Lake Garda, Lake Como, the Dolomites, Tuscany and other destinations throughout Italy. Living in Italy gives me a close understanding of the places, venues and professionals involved in the local wedding scene. I have built relationships with venues, suppliers and other event professionals, while becoming familiar with the practicalities of organising celebrations in different parts of the country.

My background in music remains an important part of the way I approach weddings. I believe music has the ability to shape the atmosphere of a celebration and to make certain moments even more emotional and personal. Having experienced weddings from the perspective of both a performer and a member of the event team, I understand the importance of timing, communication and being able to adapt to everything that happens throughout the day.

At Qativa, I represent the team in Italy, supporting the planning and coordination of weddings for couples choosing Italy as the setting for their celebration. Being based locally allows me to be close to our couples and to the professionals we work with, helping connect Qativa's vision with the realities of organising a wedding in Italy.

I am particularly passionate about destination weddings because they bring together two things I love: beautiful places and meaningful experiences. For me, the most rewarding part is helping couples feel confident and supported while creating a celebration that feels personal to them.

More than a team, we are three friends with one shared dream.
